Founded in 2024, MyLEAPS Initiative emerged from a simple but urgent reality: too many young people are excluded from opportunity despite having the talent to succeed. growing disconnect between education, opportunity, and the future of work for young people across Africa.
We exist to address the growing disconnect between education, opportunity, and the future of work for young people across Africa. Our goal is close this gap by delivering accessible, relevant, and high-quality youth development programs aligned with the future of work.
We recognize that today’s fast-evolving global economy demands not only technical expertise but also leadership, innovation, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills. Through a combination of innovative training programs focused on technical, digital, and soft skills, personalized mentorship, and access to critical resources and opportunities, MyLEAPS empowers youth to acquire future-relevant competencies. We want to ensure that young people, regardless of background, have access to the skills, platforms, and support needed to open doors to meaningful employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities so that they can thrive in the global economy.
Since our inception, we have trained hundreds of young people across 10 countries in areas such as artificial intelligence, career development, financial literacy, and more. Our programs are designed to be inclusive, intentionally supporting economically disadvantaged youth, young women, and persons with disabilities to ensure equitable access to opportunities.
