A Pan-African Youth Development Organisation
MyLEAPS Initiative is a fast-growing youth development organisation committed to closing the skills, opportunity, and leadership gap facing young people across Africa.
We design and deliver market-relevant skills training, leadership development, and employability programs that prepare young people for work, entrepreneurship, and community leadership by equipping them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to thrive in today’s rapidly changing world.
The Problem
Talent Is Everywhere. Opportunity Is Not.
Africa is home to the world’s youngest population, yet millions of young people remain unemployed, underemployed, and excluded from leadership opportunities. The core challenge is not a lack of talent or intelligence, but a growing mismatch between education and the realities of today’s labour market.
Many young people:
- Graduate without market-relevant skills
- Lack exposure to emerging technologies and the future of work
- Are excluded due to socio-economic barriers, geography, or limited networks
The result is widespread underemployment, exclusion, and wasted potential. For youth from low-income households, inner-city communities, and underserved environments, these challenges are even more severe, reinforcing cycles of inequality, exclusion, and wasted potential.
